A new comer to the RapidWeaver theme scene, Andrew Johnstone, has launched an ambitious RapidWeaver theme that makes great use of ExtraContent in innovative ways. His primary use of EC is to make a new concept of his, Handy Note, come alive. Handy Note is an adjustable sidebar of sorts that can be positioned just about anywhere you like with the help of some included snippets.
We want to congratulate Andrew on a well conceived entry into the RapidWeaver circuit.

Thanks for posting this Adam.
Just to avoid confusion, Two3Five has several features, one being Handy Note and another being a flexible Sidebar with 4 different positions, making it a little different to other Sidebars knocking about out there!
Rather than being and ‘adjustable sidebar”, Handy Note is designed to be a sort of Post-it not for your website that you can use to quickly add content to a page without having to re-deign the entire layout to accommodate the new content. The idea is that you can use Handy Note to let people know that “we’re on holiday” or “new version coming next week” or “this page is being redesigned come back later in the week!” etc. Because of the flexibility of EC, you can then simply paste your note where ever you like, even over the top of existing content. To help it stand out, EC currently has 3 Skins and I am hoping to add more for my next theme project.
Two3Five also has one fixed EC area which, when activated, runs along the bottom of the main content area, but while I was struggling to get to terms with EC, I also hit on the idea of simply using EC as a styling tool for content that remains fixed in the position it is added to on the page.
Anyway, none of this would have been possible of course without EC and thanks to all those who helped me get my head round it!
Enjoy!
Andy
